COCOON COURSE
MODIFICATIONS 2016
Modifications to Cocoon holes 1-8 were completed in September 2016. Notable changes included Holes 3,4,5,6, and 7.
COCOON 3 The green was re-built to gain more pinnable space. To increase playability of this long par 4, the surface was lowered and the approach was re-shaped so golfers who can’t fly the ball to the green can run it on.
COCOON 4 Bunkers were re-arranged to increase options off the tee and the green was reduced to better fit this short par 4.

COCOON 6 The green was re-built to gain more pinnable space. It was lowered and the fairway was raised in order to create a more comfortable second shot to the green. The view from the tee was improved by re-building the cart path on the right side of the hole and building new fairway bunkers sitting in line with the green.

COCOON 9 The fairway bunker was removed and a new one was re-built at a lower elevation in an existing swale. This increased options off the tee and created a heroic shot over a bunker to reach the more desirable left side of the fairway. A new front right bunker was added to challenge the approach shot a little more, especially when playing from the right fairway. The green was re-shaped to gain a new front pin location tucked behind the new bunker.
